Outstanding Student Scholarship Program
Making Impossible Dreams Come True
In Honduras it is reported that only 32% of children who complete grades 1-6, the minimum required by law, do so without having to repeat at least one school year. In the rural mountains of Honduras we have seen evidence that for many who do complete the 6th grade, they often do so with only a 4th grade level of education.
Of those who graduate from high school it only estimated that about 3% of them go on to study and graduate from a university. For most families it is a significant financial sacrifice to put their children through elementary and high school as there are many costs even though it is a “free” public education system.
While a college education in Honduras is very inexpensive compared to the costs in the U.S. it is still simply out of reach for most families.
That is where you come in. Please prayerfully consider financially sponsoring a student, making the impossible dream come true for them as it has for the two graduates pictured above, Walter and Maria Jose.
Please contact us for more information on how to sponsor a student. Your prayers and financial support will make a difference.
